Like your heart, your brain has a "pulse". Relaxed, excited or asleep, this pulse reflects your current state of mind.

Unlike the heart, you can control your brain's pulse using light and sound. MindPulse takes advantage of a behavior of the brain called "entrainment" to set the pulse of your brain.

Simply select the duration of the session and your desired state of mind and MindPulse will use flashing light and binaural beats to entrain your brain from its current state into the state you have selected.

MindPulse is the only application for the iPhone/iPod Touch which provides SYNCRONIZED audio and visual stimulation for brainwave entrainment similar to commercial "brain machine" devices costing hundreds of dollars and featured in DIY magazines like Make.

MindPulse 1.0 provides the following states:

Beta (focus)
Alpha (relax)
Theta (meditate)
Delta (sleep)
